Booking and Fees

Policy

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $160 is required for every new appointment. This deposit secures your calendar slot and will be fully deducted from the final cost of your tattoo.

Cancellations: In the event you choose to cancel your tattoo appointment, your deposit is strictly non-refundable.

Rescheduling: We understand that life gets busy and things happen. If you wish to reschedule your appointment date, a minimum of 48 hr's notice is required. With proper notice, your deposit will carry over to your rescheduled date without loss* (*valid for a maximum of 2 reschedules). Providing less that 48 hr's notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

How To Prepare for Your Session

Eat & Hydrate: Please ensure you have eaten a full meal and are completely hydrated before arriving at the studio. This keeps your blood sugar stable and improves your pain tolerance.

What to Bring: For any appointments lasting over an hour, it is recommended you bring light refreshments, snacks and water to keep yourself comfortable throughout the session.

How To Care For Your Tattoo ↓

Your artist has applied a premium, medical-grade breathable adhesive bandage (Second Skin) to protect your new tattoo.

Follow these specialized instructions to ensure perfect healing.

THE FIRST 5 TO 7 DAYS (leave bandage on)

1. Keep It Covered

Leave this initial Second Skin bandage on your tattoo for 5 to 7 days. DO NOT change or replace the bandage after 24 hours unless the seal is broken, it leaks fluid completely out, or the skin becomes irritated.

2. Fluid Accumulation

It is completely normal for blood, plasma, and excess ink to pool underneath the film. It may look dark, cloudy, or “blurry”—this is your body's natural healing fluid, and it actually helps the tattoo heal faster. Leave it alone!

3. Showering & Water

You can shower normally with the bandage on, as Second Skin is waterproof. However, DO NOT submerge the bandage in a bathtub, sauna, jacuzzi, or pool. Avoid blasting high-pressure hot water directly at the film or rubbing the edges.

4. How to Remove Safely

On day 5 to 7, remove the film slowly under warm, running water (in the shower is best). Find an edge and pull the bandage down and out along the skin (like a Command strip), rather than ripping it straight up. This loosens the adhesive gently.

5. The First Wash

Once the film is completely off, gently wash your tattoo using your hands, warm water, and a mild, unscented antibacterial soap. Ensure all pooled fluid and residual adhesive are thoroughly cleaned off. Pat dry with a clean paper towel and allow the skin to air dry briefly.

6. Moisturizing:

After removal and washing, let the tattoo air-dry for a few minutes. Apply a very thin layer of mild unscented hand lotion (such as Lubriderm, Curel, or Aveeno). Repeat 2 to 3 times a day until the skin finishes peeling and returns to its pre-tattoo state.

7. Do Not Pick

Your tattoo will flake and peel lightly over the following days. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH the skin. Let the peeling happen naturally to prevent color fallout and scarring.

IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTICE

Watch for signs of actual infection or allergic reaction. If you notice severe redness extending past the edges of the film, a painful rash, pus/yellow foul-smelling discharge, or run a fever, remove the bandage immediately, wash the area, consult a physician, and contact your artist.

Touch Ups

A LITTLE TOUCH-UP MAGIC

Sometimes tattoos need a little love after they’ve healed.

If your tattoo needs a small refresh, touch-ups are available 6 weeks to 6 months after your original appointment with your original artist. A $30 supply fee applies.

After 6 months, touch-ups are charged at the artist’s regular hourly rate.

Hands & fingers: These tattoos can be a little unpredictable due to everyday wear and healing. Touch-ups in these areas are not complimentary and are charged at the artist’s full hourly rate.

Every tattoo is unique, and healing can vary from person to person. We’re always happy to take a look once your tattoo has fully healed. 🤍

History of Deadly Darlings

Deadly Darling Tattoo has been years in the making. Hannah and Nikki first met in Edmonton in 2017 when we were assigned to share a tattoo room. At the time, Hannah was in her first year of her apprenticeship, and what began as a shared workspace quickly grew into a strong working partnership and friendship built on a shared passion for tattooing. Not long after, we decided to continue our journey together and opened a small studio space in Sherwood Park. In those early years, we didn’t even have an official shop name—we were simply two artists working side by side, focused on our clients, our craft, and building something of our own.

Over the years, we’ve moved locations a few times, but one thing has always remained the same: we’ve continued to grow together and do what we love. In 2022, we started attending tattoo festivals throughout Alberta, and it quickly became one of our favourite parts of the industry.

Today, we participate in approximately 8–10 tattoo conventions and festivals each year, connecting with new clients, meeting other artists, and continuing to grow our skills and reputation. In May 2026, we officially gave our studio a name: Deadly Darling Tattoo. Around the same time, an exciting opportunity came our way when we were approached about leasing a space in Sherwood Park Mall. The timing couldn’t have been better, as our previous lease was ending and we were searching for a space that would better accommodate our growing business and future plans.

Today, Deadly Darling Tattoo represents years of friendship, hard work, growth, and a shared commitment to creating a welcoming environment for our clients. What started as two artists sharing a room in Edmonton has grown into a thriving studio and friendship. We are very excited to share our Deadly Darling Tattoo studio with everyone
